The Massai women, are mostly single mothers, orphans and widows who had been making ceramic beads in Karen Nairobi. They were laid off as tourism plunged as COVID-19 broke out. The Kobe Tough Center afforded these a lifeline by establishing a ceramic beading division to help them create new opportunities for themselves and their families.
